Amazon Prime Day 2019 is around the corner and although the official dates have not yet been announced by Amazon India, we expect the e-commerce platform to organize its third Prime Day sale somewhere in mid-July.
Amazon Prime was launched three years ago in July 2016 and since then the e-tailer has organized two Prime Day store sales in 2017 and 2018. It can be argued that Amazon's Prime Day sale is fairly new here in India, but platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon keep Indian consumers at regular shopping festivals throughout the month. That said, this year's Amazon Prime Day is expected to be a full-fledged effort from the Indian branch.
Last year's Prime Day was the result of more than 100 million shipments by more than 89 million visitors who participated in the 36-hour shop festival. So it is quite natural that the company does everything to make it bigger than ever during this time.
Here are everything we expect from this year's Prime Day sales event in India.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2019?
The official dates for Amazon Prime Day 2019 have not yet been announced. However, based on last year's event, it would be safe to say that the Prime Day 2019 will be held from mid-July. Last year, sales started on July 16 at 12:00 (IST) and Prime subscribers offered discounts, sales and offers for the next 36 hours.
Interestingly, the date of the sale is not even a point of discussion between people waiting for the start of Prime Day 2019. It is the duration of the sales event that most people are interested in. Amazon has extended the duration of its Prime Day sales every year, from 24 hours in 2016 to 30 hours in 2017 and 36 hours, the longest ever in 2018. This year, the e-commerce giant expects Prime Day, a 48-event.
Thanks to some snooping around by the Real Homes team, we can already know the date unofficially. A PR e-mail about a Prime Day vacuum cleaner seemed to suggest that Prime Day will start on Monday, July 15.

The best Prime Day deals from 2018
Prime members around the world bought more than 100 million products during the last Prime Day event. The best-selling items from Prime Day last year were a mix of household items, electronics and Amazon devices.
As always, some of the best deals on Prime Day were on Amazon's own devices. The Echo Dot saw a 45% discount and deals on Alexa products, up to 25% off Kindle devices and 30% off Fire TV Stick.
Headphones and earphones got up to 50% off while large devices such as air conditioners received 40% off. Amazon brands such as Solimo, AmazonBasics and Vedaka offered their products up to 60% off last year's Prime Day.

How much money did Amazon earn on Prime Day?
Amazon was predicted to gross $ 3.4 billion on Prime Day last year, although we do not know if that prediction is true, because Amazon does not disclose such information. However, it has announced third-party sellers shifted a billion dollars in product in just one day. As far as own sales are concerned, Amazon was satisfied that "this Prime Day's sales have surpassed Cyber Monday, Black Friday and the previous Prime Day by comparing 36-hour periods, making it once again the largest shopping mall event in the history of Amazon is. " a bit of a sneaky note, because the 2017 sale only ran 24 hours, not 36.
