It's here! It's here! That's right, the annual smartphone-focused Apple event is imminent and we are launching the TechRadar iPhone 11 launch live blog to keep you up to date with all the news, launches and expert analysis about what we expect to be a busy day.

The 2019 Apple event starts at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT / 6:00 PM BST (which is AEDT at 4:00 AM on September 11 in Australia), and we will report live from Cupertino headquarters , California, to offer you the very best last as it is announced on stage.

6:00 AM – So what else can you look forward to from today's Apple Event? Well, there should be good news for those who currently own an iPhone, iPad or MacBook, because Apple should give us fixed release dates for its next major software updates.

We already know a lot about iOS 13 for iPhone, iPadOS for iPads and MacOS 10.15 Catalina for Macs and MacBooks, but the completed versions of the software updates still need to hit devices.

We have seen that Apple announced software update updates during previous iPhone launch events, so we fully expect it to continue the trend this year.

5:00 AM – We are awake in California! Good old jet lag keeps us sharp. Because we have five hours before the Apple event starts, read our thoughts on the telephone staff, Tom Bedford & apos; on the iPhone 11 Pro.

Rumors have tipped the 11 Pro to provide support for Apple Pencil, so you can use the company's stylus with the handset – something that until now was only available for newer generations of iPads.

04:50 – "THE APPLE SHOP IS DOWN"

It happens every year, just before a major launch, and indicates that new hardware is being announced. Apple takes its store offline so that it can prepare the new product page ' s without giving away the game.

4:00 AM – Although three new iPhones are almost nailed today, something we are a little less certain is the arrival of the Apple Watch 5. We saw the fourth generation of Apple ' s smartwatch launch alongside the iPhone XS in 2018, but the rumors and leaks around his successor are relatively thin on the ground.

Our phone editor, James Peckham, says: "So far we know very little about the Apple Watch series 5. It is still likely that we will hear about Apple's next-generation smartwatch later today and we expect a strong focus on sleep tracking tech.

"It's a rumor that Apple will make major improvements to the way it watches you snooze, but these features are also likely to end up in earlier Apple Watch iterations. Apple should have a surprise in its wings as it & apos; goes those encourage the Apple Watch 4 to upgrade to the 2019 version. "

03:00 – It is still midnight on the west coast of the US and Cook and co. will be put to bed and dream of new ways to say "amazing", "revolutionary" and "beautiful."

Meanwhile, for those of you who are already awake – what can you expect from today's launch? The most important event is the announcement of new iPhone handsets – and it looks like it will again be a trio of smartphones.

What these new iPhones are called is still under discussion. We are currently linking them to the iPhone 11R (replacement of the iPhone XR), iPhone 11 (replacement of iPhone XS) and iPhone 11 Max (replacement of iPhone XS Max).

However, some rumors suggest that the "affordable" R series will be called the iPhone 11, with the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Max the flagship options. Then there is the mindset that says that Apple will adhere to Roman numerals and give us the iPhone XI and co.

It's messy, so let us know what you think in our Twitter survey:
