Being a superhero is hard work, so Square Enix takes away at least one hurdle of wannabe crusaders with the upcoming Marvel & apos; s Avengers game: an internet connection always required.
In an interview with GamesIndustryBiz, Crystal Dynamic ' s boss confirmed that, despite the game's focus on online multiplayer mechanics, Marvel & apos; s Avengers can be playable offline and solo.
"We want someone to be able to buy a disc and never have to go online," he said. "You don't have to do that, you can have a complete experience and have fun."
He also emphasized the ability to fully adapt the comic heroes while playing, which could perhaps make the fear of those disappointed by the fact that the stars of the game do not share similarities with their Hollywood counterparts in the cinema.
"The idea is from the start that we want you to be able to customize your hero, how they look, how they play, the equipment they have and how they use it," Amos said.
"Your Black Widow can be different from my Black Widow – a little, maybe a lot – depending on what you prefer and how you unlock things."

In what will undoubtedly be music for the ears of those frustrated by the pay-to-win mechanics, the game will not play ' gameplay paywalls ' or lootbox mechanics.
"We want people to be able to play together and make this journey, but we also want to say that if you want to invest too much in your characters and adjust them, you understand," Amos said.
"We also have ways to earn many of those things, we want to give players as much flexibility as possible because it is for them. We make this for the fans. At the end of the day we will listen to and receive feedback from them and we will adjust everything to meet that need … We want to reward them for the hours they invest in our game. "
& apos; The best of the best & apos;
Square Enix pulls out everything from Marvel & apos; s Avengers to make a hit, and has five studios plus a Japanese tech team, engaged in the game, staffed with a number of rave developers.
We were already aware that Naughty Dog & Shaun Escayg would be the creative director of the game, while EA / Visceral & apos; s developer Stephen Barry is game director. We have now learned that Call of Duty / Halo fame's Dave Fifield is on board for multiplayer design, and Vince Napoli of the recent God of War reblance is responsible for designing the fight.
"We put forward the best of the best and said," Let's put this together in a new way for something bigger than we've ever done, & apos; "Amos teased.
Marvel & apos; s Avengers hit PC, Xbox One and PS4 consoles and the Google Staging streaming platform in May 2020. There is not yet a release of Scarlett on the PS5 or Xbox Project, but with those console launches we & apos; d be shocked if a next gene port was also not planned.
