The GTX 1660 Super graphics card from Nvidia looks more likely with the unveiling of three different models of the GPU allegedly from Asus.
This is the latest rumor from Videocardz, who has heard from sources at Asus that the GPU maker has (at least) three 1660 Super cards in the pipeline: Dual Evo, Phoenix and TUF3 models.

According to the grapevine, the new GTX 1660 Super from Nvidia is expected to be launched in October, so we don't have to wait long to find out the truth behind his rumors.
The theory is that this Super variant retains the same GPU as the vanilla GTX 1660, and the upgrade comes to the video memory. The new card uses 6 GB 14 Gbps GDDR6 memory, compared to the same amount of 8 Gbps GDDR5 VRAM on the existing Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660.
The GTX 1660 Super will be a new string in Nvidia's affordable GPU bow and is expected to be sold below $ 300. It could also be accompanied by another budget player, the GTX 1650 Ti, which is rumored to be launched on October 22.
That would offer those who want to buy a cheaper Nvidia graphics card no less than five options: the GTX 1650, 1650 Ti, 1660, 1660 Super and 1660 Ti (unless the Super version replaces the existing 1660).
If this is the case, then it is clear that Nvidia is trying very seriously to clean up the budget of the GPU market.
It is rumored that AMD has planned its own launches for next month in the form of entry-level Navi graphics cards, and it is with this that Nvidia may be trying to cause interference in the possible release of these new GTX Turing models.
The fact that the 1660 Super is a relatively small increase in performance compared to the vanilla flavor, squeezed awkwardly into the existing range in what can easily be judged as a rather improvised fashion, certainly seems to point in this direction.
