It is considered by many to be the game of its generation, and it could now go to the Nintendo Switch. Multiple entries suggest that the epic RPG, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, comes to the Nintendo hybrid game console.
The rumor, following similar prompts earlier in the year, comes from a ResetEra user who has found evidence of the game's port on multiple Asian websites, citing a September release date and an Asian-language Chinese location. There is even a localized The Witcher 3-box art on display at the remarkable Chinese online retailer Taobao.com.

Could it happen?
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt remains one of the most ambitious games ever made, a vast medieval dark fantasy RPG that gives Game of Thrones a run for its money. The beautiful images and large open world regions push even relatively powerful consoles such as the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X to the limit. Could the humble Nintendo Switch, which is much weaker than the competition, contain it?
With many adjustments, possible – the Nintendo Switch has already hosted some very smart ports of demanding games, especially those from publisher Bethesda. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Doom were both very enjoyable when they were pushed to the handheld console as soon as a number of concessions and visual cuts were made. But every Witcher 3 port should be much more drastic with its visual downgrades, you might expect.
So, if the news is true, could this actually point to the rumors of the new Nintendo Switch 2? Or at least the revision of the mid-generation console that we have whispered about, one that would increase the power of the Nintendo hybrid console somewhat, even if it is not really a completely new version of the switch? Anything that could override the switch's custom Nvidia Tegra processor specifications could go a long way toward working with a Witcher 3 port. Even a title exclusively for a refurbished console would not be impossible – the New Nintendo 3DS has already set that precedent and split the player base of the last generation by offering some games that were only available for the more powerful, newer console revision.
With Witcher developer CD Projekt Red, confirming that his other big title, Cyberpunk 2077, will not be shown during this year's E3 2019 conference, we are waiting with bated breath to see if The Witcher 3 will make for Nintendo Switch an appearance instead.
