Good news for Virgin Media customers: if you have a Virgin TV set-top box, you now have access to the Amazon Prime Video app.
That means that you no longer connect your laptop to the TV via HDMI, or that you cry over the low resolution of your smartphone when you try Good Omens, The Grand Tour, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or any number of Amazon Prime TV shows ' s and Amazon Prime movies.

If you have an Amazon Prime Video subscription, all you have to do is register via the Virgin TV Smart TV interface on your TV and you can access the entire catalog of shows, films and documentaries via the service.
The app has been downloaded via a firmware update to all Virgin TV V6 set-top boxes in the UK, the current generation of streaming players from Virgin Media. If your box has been turned off for a few days, for whatever reason, it may need to be downloaded after connecting to the internet, but the functionality must be there for everyone.
Amazon Prime Video is now on more platforms than ever – including Roku streaming devices, Google Chromecast and of course Amazon's own Fire TV streaming stick.
That is also a good thing. Whether or not you have an Amazon Prime subscription, the choice is still crucial – and you never want to be excluded from switching to a new streaming service because of a hardware purchase you made months or years in advance.
