After selling more than 2 million copies of the Redmi Note 7 series in India since its launch in March, the company is busy adding a new phone to the popular series. The Redmi Note 7S has just been bullied for India and will be unveiled on May 20. Interestingly, Redmi Note 7S will come with a 48MP camera on the back, as revealed by Manu Kumar Jain on Twitter.
His tweet reads: "# RedmiNote7S – A completely new SUPER Redmi Note for all our Mi Mi fans is coming! # 48MPForEveryone unveils on May 20. Mark your calendar ' s!" This message was accompanied by a photo of the Earth from the Redmi Note 7S.
It should be noted that the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 7 has a 48 MP camera with a Samsung S5KGM1 sensor and that it is possible that the company will re-brand that version for its consumers in India under the 7S name.
In fact, earlier this month Xiaomi sent the Redmi Note 7 to the stratosphere and it came down with some pretty shots of the curvature of the earth. The Redmi Note 7 was positioned over a height of 35 km and it braved -58 degrees when it returned intact.
Although the Indian version of the Redmi Note 7 is not equipped with a 48 MP camera, the company launched the Pro version here with the Sony IMX586 sensor, which became much more popular after the launch earlier this year. We expect that the Redmi Note 7S will follow the footsteps of its cousins and have a similar design.
The Chinese version of the Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch FHD + screen with Gorilla Glass 5 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. It has a 48-MP primary camera with a 5 MP depth sensor and a 13MP selfie camera on the front. The phone has a 4000mAh battery that also supports fast charging.
